Voice & Phone Calls

Have your assistant make a phone call for you — a reservation, a confirmation, anything that's faster by voice.

Some things are just faster over the phone. Booking a table, confirming an appointment, following up with someone who never checks email — your assistant can handle those with an actual phone call, not just a message. You stay out of the conversation entirely, and you get the full story afterward.

What your assistant can call about

Anything you'd normally pick up the phone for. A few examples:

  • Calling a restaurant to make a reservation
  • Confirming an appointment time with a doctor's office or salon
  • Following up with someone by phone instead of waiting on an email reply

Just ask, the same way you'd ask for anything else: "Call the restaurant and book a table for four on Friday at 7," or "Give the dentist's office a call and confirm my appointment."

It uses your assistant's phone number

Calls go out from the same phone number your assistant already uses for texting. If you haven't set that up yet, that's the first step — see the Texting Your Assistant guide for how to get one.

You approve the call first

A phone call is a real action, just like sending an email or booking a meeting on your calendar. So before your assistant dials, it lines the call up for your approval first — you'll see who it's about to call and why, and nothing happens until you say go.

This is the same review step your assistant uses for everything else it does on your behalf. See the dispatch cart guide for how that works.

You get a summary, not a recording

Once the call is done, your assistant gives you a plain-English summary of what was discussed or decided — the reservation time it landed on, the answer it got, whatever the outcome was. You don't have to listen back to anything or piece it together yourself. Just read the summary and carry on.
